Does life get in the way of you and your horse?

Did you have a good weekend? Did youget to ride any?
I didn't do any riding. I had too manythings on my to do list.
Don't you hate that? You wanna do certainthings but life gets in the way. The kidshave to go to ball practice, you had a meeting, blah, blah, blah.
Before you know it, it's been days sinceyou messed with your horse. Pretty soon, days turn into weeks and sometimes months.
But many people don't realize that you can spend very little time with a horse andstill make an impact on his behavior.
For instance, if you're in a hurry andyou only have a minute to feed your horse, you can actually accomplish great things.
Certaninly, you can't teach a horse thingslike sliding stops, or collection. That takestime.
But, there are things you can teach thatdo make a big difference.
For example, if you wanna teach yourhorse to drop his head so you can bridle himeasier...you can accomplish that in justa minute or two a day.
All you gotta do is step in with him fora minute, put pressure on his poll in the right way and teach him to drop his head.
He won't learn to drop his head immediately, but it won't be long before he'll do it foryou.
And you will have taught him in just a fewday's time even though you were in a hurry.
So, don't let life get in your way if youreally want to impact your horse's life. Thereare things you can do.
What kinds of things can you do? Well, youcan decide what kinds of things you want to teachyour horse. Think them through and come up witha plan to do it. Just remember the more complicated the task the longer it will take to teach.
I also have a video I called "How To Work With And Train Your Horse When You Don't Have Time!".
The video gives you 21 different things youcan do to work with your horse when you're hurtingfor time.
If you'd like to read more about it click here:

Heck, even giving your horse a quick rub in the morning before work will do wonders for you andhim. Do it a certain way and it'll help build histrust in you.
Having his trust is a great tool for catching yourhorse.
Well, I guess that's about it for today. Talk toyou tomorrow.
Sincerely,
Andy
