Is your horse left handed?

Can you believe it? October is heretomorrow. Seems the older I get the faster the months disappear. Time marches on.
I spoke with a friend yesterday whohas been training a colt for the last monthor so. She's had so much fun doing it thatshe too can hardly believe it's alreadyOctober.
While talking to her she described all thethings she was doing. Sounded like she wasdoing great.
But with what she described, I could tell she is occassionally leaving something out of her training.
What is it?
Once in a while she forgets to do thesame thing on both sides of the horse.
For instance, when she gets on her coltshe should mount from both sides.
Often, horses are "left handed" becausepeople tend to work with their horses on theirleft side.
If you haven't already, you might wanna practice leading your horse on his right side. Also, when you climb in the saddle, do it fromthe right side.
I don't mean to only do it from the rightside. Just alternate sides.
If you've never mounted your horse from theright side you should be careful. If he's notdone it before it could scare him and you couldhave a blow up. So please use caution.
Well...gotta go play with the horses. Talk to you in October.
Sincerely,
Andy Curry
