Horses, horse training, equine health, and horse behavior is a love of mine I love to teach. When I was growing up I didn't own any horses. We lived in town and there was no place to keep them. I could've kept them in boarding stable somewhere, but my mom was sure she'd be the one caring for the horse - so I didn't get a horse. She was probably right. But finally, I got my first horses. About a week after they arrived, it occurred to me I didn't know anything about horses, horse training, or horse care. I knew they ate hay. I knew they could kick the crap out me if I walk behind them. I knew they could run fast. That's about all I knew about horses. I asked for help from friends but they could only help a little. They had their own things to do too. Frustrated, I began to read books, buy expensive videos, and ask a lot of questions. I made a lot of mistakes but I achieved my goals. And today, I know more about horse care and training than I ever dreamed I would. I keep learning too. People say I'm a "guru." I just tell 'em, "Naw, I just like horses a lot and I like to know all I can about 'em." And that's why I'm excited to have this website for people who aren't as knowledgeable about horses as they'd like to be. I well remember how hard it was to find everything I learned. I couldn't find anyone with a product that was tailor-made for the novice horse person. I got pretty upset with the horse industry. They assumed people already knew a lot about horses. Not true. So the products I created have filled that gap. I've created a very basic lesson guide called The Rookie-Smart Horse Course. I also created a lesson guide called The QuantumLEAP NO BS Horse Course. It's advanced knowledge for the novice horse owner. I want you to know that you "can" have success with your horse. Don't give up. Make sure you know how to keep 'em healthy. Learn the basics of training. Decades and decades and decades of training have been done and there are techniques available to everyone. And guess what. The old ways of training are often best. Beware of these new fangled things that keep showin' up. On the other hand, some of the new stuff is good too. I'll show you lots of different things and let you be the judge. Just because you can't get your horse to do something doesn't mean he won't do it. You simply keep working at it. These Horse Courses will help you with that. In closing, I hope you live your dream of having the perfect horse. I hope you get to ride your horse and watch the sun go down. I hope your horse willingly takes you to places you didn't know existed. I hope you go for your dream of having a horse and not anyone stop you.
